Choose the installation method you trust

Google Play is recommended for routine updates. The direct Android APK offered here is the release file supplied by the Echo developer. Only install APKs from a source you trust.

Version and update availability depend on the uploaded build. Installing a different signing-key build over an existing Echo installation may fail.

Installation steps

Download the APK to your Android device.
Open it from your browser's downloads or the Files app.
If Android asks, allow installation from that app only if you trust this download.
Tap Install, then open Echo. Turn off the temporary “Allow from this source” permission afterward if you enabled it.

Android may show security prompts. Review them instead of bypassing device protections.

File integrity

SHA-256 checksum for the bundled APK. Compare this value with the file you downloaded. A checksum alone does not verify who signed the APK.

Go live and verify.

Open a bubble, let compatible peers discover you and confirm a matching connection code on both screens.

Compatibility

What to expect.

Android: Install through Google Play or download the provided APK directly. Nearby and notification features depend on Android version, permissions, Google services and device support.
Windows: Install through Microsoft Store. Local-network access can be affected by Windows Firewall and network privacy settings.
iOS: Coming soon — no App Store download is currently provided here.
Local network: For peer-to-peer or LAN features, devices must be able to reach one another over compatible local transports.
Offline use: Some local interactions do not need public internet, but availability is not guaranteed without supported local connectivity.

Store pages can have regional availability and compatibility restrictions. The Windows link is the exact listing supplied by the Echo developer; verify distribution status in your publisher dashboard before a public launch.
